It Only Happens To The Very Best
We designed a building for lower Manhattan from 1992 to '96 that describes a lot of what I'm talking about here. It was the Staten Island ferry terminal called Whitehall. At the time it was absolutely ignored in New York. (...) But it seemed like such weird architecture then that it was ignored in the New York press and by the architecture magazines.
