A "arquitectura-arte" permite adiar os embaraços do confronto com a sociedade, é uma forma legítima de lidar com a crescente bagunça que os arquitectos não podem controlar.

Heidegger's drive toward a fundamental ontology based around notions of authenticity is too often reflected in architectural obsessions with vague notions of poetics, the authentic situation, the rectitude of tectonics, and the retreat from everyday living into idealized notions of dwelling. In all of these we see a privileging of fundamental belief systems, wich can be developed only in denial of the contingencies of the everyday world.
